Question
If I have an in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid with a telephone switch, how would I use the MyLink wireless receiver? What would the cost be, and what components would I need to purchase? Would it work with a switchless telephone amplifier?
Answer
The MyLink FM system is designed to work with custom ITE hearing aids with a t-coil. The MyLink has an adjustable power switch allowing the patient to adjust the field strength of the neck loop compensating for t-coil variability. The system includes a FM transmitter. The transmitters available with the MyLink are EasyLink, SmartLink and Campus SX. The EasyLink is the standard transmitter but many users want more flexibility and microphone options with the SmartLink, which includes Bluetooth technology for cell phone use.
The MyLink system pricing varies because of the multiple transmitter options. Please contact your hearing healthcare professional for pricing information.
