This course addresses infection control precautions both broadly and as related to COVID-19. It discusses how to select personal protective equipment, hand hygiene products, and disinfectants that are appropriate for hearing healthcare settings, as well as how to properly implement these and other infection control measures.

The co-morbidities of hearing loss include social isolation and loneliness, depression, increased risk of falls, as well as cognitive decline, and related dementias. In this presentation, we will describe how digital therapeutics are changing the face of healthcare, and then present an example of how digital therapeutics may be used to treat hearing loss and its downstream effects.

This course is part of Cochlear's Foundations series, providing professionals new to hearing implants the foundational knowledge they need to begin working with patients. In this course, we will discuss fitting the Cochlear Osia system and provide information that can be used to counsel and support patients.

Presenters from the Audiology program at the University of South Dakota provide specific, real-world cases exemplifying considerations, benefits and limitations of various means of service-provision aimed to support the population of a rural/frontier state.

There are a variety of decision points in a patient's hearing help journey. This talk will describe how we can make sure we are part of the patient's journey no matter where the journey starts and regardless of the technology involved in the hearing solution. Digital as well as brick and mortar strategies will be discussed.

This course will introduce My Sound as the 3rd generation of Widex’s Machine Learning feature application within the MOMENT app. After taking this course, participants will be able to describe Widex’s use of AI and machine learning applications and demonstrate My Sound benefits to clients.

This course is part of Cochlear's Foundations series, providing professionals new to hearing implants the foundational knowledge they need to begin working with patients. In this course, we will discuss technology for the Osia System and provide information that can be used to counsel and support patients.

This course will introduce various marketing concepts to include marketing goals and techniques. The course will also look at how both hearing aid marketing and consumers have changed over the years and how hearing aid practices can adjust their strategies to improve their marketing impact.

This course will review enhancements to the MOMENT product line, accessories, and Compass GPS 4.2 programming software. After taking this course, participants will be able to describe these 10 enhancements and discuss the benefits to the client and clinician.


Learning Outcomes:

1. After this course, participants will be able to list and describe the 10 enhancements to MOMENT in the Spring Launch 2021.
2. After this course, participants will be able to discuss the benefits of these enhancements when fitting/fine tuning their clients wearing Widex MOMENT.

This course will provide information on clinical considerations for Bone Conduction Hearing Devices (BCHDs) in the pediatric population. Both non-surgical and surgical options will be discussed with a focus on transitioning patients from a softband to surgical BCHD.
