Course Abstract

This course reviews Key Performance Indicators: what they are and how they can be used to measure their progress toward business objectives. It will also identify three areas where the measurement of key performance indicators will positively impact productivity.

Pam Pech

President and Founder, Connecting Resources

Pam Pech is the President and Founder of Connecting Resources.  A former teacher, with a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Pam transferred into the business world by joining Kelly Services as a Staffing Supervisor, thus beginning a 20+-year career in the Staffing and Recruitment Industry. Pam’s progressive management experience within unique staffing entities enabled her to approach traditional operations with a broader perspective. This resulted in her becoming nationally recognized for her expertise in both Sales and Operations, as well as for the launching of new profit centers. She held positions in Arizona, Minnesota and Wisconsin, including such roles as VP, Sales and Marketing for an Arizona staffing firm and ultimately Regional VP of Randstad Minnesota, part of an international staffing company. Her experience has included assisting in the development of one of the largest clerical placement firms in the country resultant in her execution of adding the temporary help component to an existing Direct Hire company. She was a featured columnist for Temp Digest, a staffing journal, and has been a speaker and panel presenter at several national staffing conventions.

In 2002, Pam entered the Hearing Healthcare Industry with Miracle-Ear, holding positions of Regional Business Development Manager and Sr. Director of Franchise Operations - working hands-on to provide resources to Franchisees in Sales, Operations, Finance and Strategic Planning – both in mentoring and problem resolution.  She is currently developing a program around the needs of individuals as they age, especially relevant to hearing health care.

Connecting Resources was created out of Pam’s desire to help individuals realize their purpose and to motivate them to act upon it with the end result being personal satisfaction and financial success.  Her teaching and writing background lends itself well to the creation and facilitation of programs and workshops. She has done extensive training and public speaking, from intense one-on-one sales training to group sales training;from speaking at Annual Conventions to the creation and facilitation of customized Leadership Workshops.

Mark DeRuiter MBA, PhD, CCC-A/SLP is the Director of Graduate Studies and Clinical Programs at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.  Mark has had a long history in the hearing health industry including working in a busy hearing instrument dispensing practice, working for several hearing aid manufacturers, and his current role at the University-level.
