Course Abstract

This presentation will discuss the current knowledge regarding the disorder known as Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder. The latest information concerning pathophysiology, audiologic presentation, test results, related genetic disorders, and implications for newborn hearing screening will be discussed (Recorded 09/08/2010).

Yvonne S. Sininger, PhD

Professor in Residence

Yvonne Sininger is a Professor in the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA and a licensed audiologist.  Her research is focused on infant hearing and pediatric audiologic disorders.  She has completed a project funded by the NIH Deafness Institute on Auditory Neuropathy with Dr. Arnold Starr and they are editors of the book Auditory Neuropathy: A New Perspective on Hearing Disorders published by Singular Press.
