What are Audiology Online Live e-Seminars? - Return to Top
Audiology Online Live e-seminars are the profession's premier internet-based educational seminars. Live e-Seminar courses are typically presented throughout the week, with the Expert Series Seminar presented on Wednesdays over the noon hour. The most compelling advantage is that you can participate from almost anywhere! Using our simple to use e-learning platform, all that is required is a computer (PC or Mac) with a web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari), Flash Player 8 and high-speed internet access. The live format allows participants to interact with the Presenter via question and answer sessions, and to present timely information in an efficient and inexpensive way.

What if I cannot attend the Live e-Seminar? - Return to Top
The vast majority of Audiology Online Live e-Seminars are recorded and archived on our web site. The Recorded Course will be made available within a few days following the live event. Simply visit us as www.audiologyonline.com, click on the "Start e-Learning Here!" button, locate the recorded course, and follow the instructions to select, view, and earn your CEUs/Hours. So if you miss a Live e-Seminar, you can simply view the Recorded Course version instead.

Can I earn CEUs for a Live e-Seminar? - Return to Top
YES! Most Live and Recorded e-Seminars are available for CEUs/Hours through AAA, ASHA, CASLPA and IIHIS. You will need to check the course listing on Audiology Online for the CE details of a specific course. Once a Live e-Seminar has ended you will be required to take a short multiple choice test to earn your CEUs. You will be sent a post event email that will give you instructions on how to do this. You must complete this test within 7 days of the live event to earn CEUs/Hours. Please see our CE Processing index.aspHelp for more information.

How do I login to a Live e-Seminar? - Return to Top
We recommend that you login to a Live e-Seminar 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time in case there are any login issues with your computer. Please make sure you have all needed software/hardware installed on your computer as listed under What do I need to do to participate in a live e-Seminar Course? above. During login if you are prompted to install the Adobe Acrobat Connect Add-in, please do so.

There are two easy ways to login to a Live e-Seminar.

1. When you registered for the Live Course you were sent an email that contained an invitation link. Using your high-speed connection, click on the invitation link in your email and you will be automatically logged into the session. Once you are logged in the Event Moderator will instruct you on how to interact within the course.

2. Visit the Audiology Online home page and click on the "Start e-Learning Here!" button near the top right of the page. Click on the link to login to your Live e-Seminars and you will be prompted to login to your Audiology Online CE account. Once you login, click on the “Start your Live e-Seminars” link and select the “Login to e-Seminar” button to the right of the course title.

Note: If you are using a web based email such as MSN, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. we recommend that you login to the live event using Method 2.

You will be sent a post event email that will give you instructions on how to do this. Please see our CEU Processing index.aspHelp for more information. I need help logging into a Live e-Seminar! – Troubleshooting - Return to Top
Here are the most common steps you can take if you are having trouble logging into a Live e-Seminar or if you experience any difficulty during the course.

Step 1: Make note of any error message that you have seen. This will be important if you need to call us for technical support.

Step 2: Make sure that you have installed both the Adobe Acrobat Connect Add-in and Flash Player. To perform a diagnostic test of your computer which will install any missing applications, please click here. The link includes a series of 4 tests; upon completion of each test, a black checkmark will appear to the left of the number with success. If you are prompted to install the Adobe Acrobat Connect add-in or Flash player, please do so. Upon successful completion, log back into the live eSeminar via your invitation. If you are unable to complete the diagnostic series of tests, please contact Technical Support for assistance at 800-753-2160 (select option 3)

Step 3: Enter the Live e-Seminar by logging into your Audiology Online eLearning account.

  • Go to the Audiology Online home page.
  • Locate the orange Start eLearning Here button on the homepage and click Start Courses/Take Tests. You will be prompted to login to your account.
  • To the right of the Live e-Seminar title there is a button marked ""Login to e-Seminar""
  • Click on this button which will log you into the Live e-Seminar.
  • Note: This link will only allow you to login to the Live Seminar during the time that the Live Seminar is being conducted.

If you are logged into your event and experience audio problems, please make sure that your speakers/headphones are connected to your computer securely, turned on with the volume at mid level, and that they are not muted.

If you have gone through all of these steps and continue to experience problems, please contact us at 800-753-2160, or send a note to the moderator using the Chat (Q&A) Pod and we will help you directly.
