The “rules” and assumptions applied when fitting a child with mild to moderate hearing loss may not apply when working with a child who has a severe to profound hearing loss. Special consideration in the selection of features and amplification settings is required. The efficacy of modern technology with this population is reviewed.

  • Upon completing this course learners will be able to explain how to tell when appropriate compression ratios have been set.
