Holidays are approaching and though a very busy time of year for families, opportunities for developing listening and speaking skills in young children abound. Theme based vocabulary, auditory, and pre-literacy activities will be illustrated in application to goals for children with various levels of speaking and listening skills.

- Upon completing this course, learners will be able to explain how to develop a therapy session lesson plan for a child centered on a holiday theme.
- Upon completing this course, learners will be able to describe carry over activities from therapy lessons that parents can use at home
- Upon completing this course, learners will be able to explain how to analyze a child’s goals and how holiday-based activities can be used to address the goals
