Otometrics Introduces Multi-Frequency ASSR with the New ICSTM Chartr EP 200

Copenhagen, DK, Sept 2009 – Otometrics, the world leader in hearing and balance diagnostic systems, adds an Auditory Steady State Response module to the ICS Chartr EP 200 AEP system launched in February. The ASSR module is an integral part of the ICS Chartr EP 200 platform, making it easy to toggle between EP and ASSR protocols.

The optional ASSR module has a number of features that makes auditory data collection, quick and efficient. These include the RapidASSR™ algorithm making it possible to collect 12 frequencies simultaneously (6 per ear), efficient search methods, and user controlled options for modifying data collection and data analysis. The features assist in decreasing test time, while obtaining accurate data. Data Collection has been made easy with the constant monitoring of EEG and ability to check impedance values at any time during collection.

The ICS Chartr EP 200 was developed to support workflow in the clinic by offering real portability, with its truly compact design and laptop capability. The remote control feature and impedance display on the preamplifier releases the tester from the computer and allows you to stay close to the patient. Otometrics offers a shared database for the ICS Chartr EP 200 and the renowned ICS Chartr 200 VNG/ENG system. The shared database makes it easy to save patient information and access the records from either the Chartr EP 200 or the Chartr 200 VNG/ENG software.

The complete default test battery, including ABR, ECOG, MLR, ALR, P300 (optional), ASSR (optional) and customization of protocols, makes advanced diagnostic testing possible. And with the familiar Windows® interface (incl. Vista Business compatibility), integrated software and shared databases, all traditional capabilities for securing data and consolidating patient records, are readily available.

Copenhagen-based Otometrics is the world's leading manufacturer of hearing and balance instruments and software. The company has solutions that range from infant-screening applications and audiologic diagnostics to balance testing and hearing-instrument fitting.
