Starkey Hearing Technologies’ Researchers Present at Bi-Annual IHCON Meeting

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 21, 2014 – Starkey Hearing Technologies, one of the world leaders in the hearing technology industry, is proud to announce that company researchers presented nine posters at the 2014 International Hearing Aid Research Conference (IHCON) held last week in Lake Tahoe, California. The conference, held every two years, provides those in the field of hearing aid research and development the opportunity to exchange ideas that will facilitate progress and advance knowledge in the field.

Starkey Hearing Technologies was well represented at the conference, with a series of posters and presentations through the course of the five-day event. Topics included spatial release of cognitive load in normal-hearing and hearing-impaired listeners, preferred aided listening levels for music in the sound field and a real world recording database for distributed microphone processing research.

Presenters included a wide variety of researchers from both the Starkey Hearing Research Center in Berkeley and Starkey Hearing Technologies’ corporate headquarters in Minnesota, and collaborating institutions including the University of Minnesota, University of California, Berkeley, University of Salamanca, and Cambridge University.
