Plymouth, MN, Feb. 10, 2014 – More than 1,000 hearing care professionals from 250 practices across the country attended Elite Hearing Network’s Annual Business Summit on the Big Island of Hawaii last week at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. The conference gave Elite’s members the opportunity obtain required continuing education hours, as well as learn from the country’s top hearing care professionals and hospital associations about the latest and best practices to improve patient and hearing health care.

The event’s vendor expo featured more than 20 organizations, from manufacturers to marketers, financial institutions and more – all of which aim to support Elite’s members in a variety of ways. Additionally, attendees had a firsthand opportunity to engage with several of the hearing industry’s latest groundbreaking technologies, some of which recently debuted at 2013 Consumer Electronics Show, like ReSound LiNXTM – the first to hearing aid made for iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch® (https://www.resoundlinx.com); and Siemens’ new Aquaris™ micon (https://hearing.siemens.com/Global/en/professional-area/product-portfolio/micon/aquaris/aquaris.html), the world’s first and only completely waterproof hearing instrument; its miniTek® Remote App (https://hearing.siemens.com/us/en/products/accessories/minitek-remote-app/minitek-app.html) and miniTek remote/streamer, which transforms mobile devices into a convenient and discreet remote control for the miniTek, allowing wearers to adjust their hearing aids via their smartphone, and take advantage of multiple applications (apps) on their favorite gadgets simultaneously.
