Oticon, Inc. Empowers Audiology Students with $25,000 Gift to American Academy of Audiology Foundation Scholarship Fund

SOMERSET, NJ   April 8 -- At AudiologyNOW! 2015, Oticon President Peer Lauritsen presented a $25,000 donation to the America Academy of Audiology Foundation’s (AAAF) Empowering People scholarship fund to Angela Shoup, PhD, Chair, Foundation Board of Trustees. This is the fourth year that Oticon, Inc. has provided funding that will enable AAAF to award five $5000 scholarships to graduate students earning AuD or PhD degrees in audiology who show exceptional promise as clinical audiologists.

“We are proud to again partner with the American Academy of Audiology Foundation to empower people who are the future of the profession,” said Lauritsen. “Our aim is to provide the support needed today to ensure a future of skilled and caring hearing care professionals who share our commitment to putting the needs of people with hearing loss first.”

Application Deadline: April 30

AuD or PhD students in audiology who are interested in applying for funding from the AAAF Scholarship Program can visit audiologyfoundation.org for more information.  Deadline for submission of applications for scholarships for the 2015-16 academic year is April 30.
