The Search is on for the Hearing Professional of the Year 2011!

April 5, 2011- Supported by Rayovac, this independent award gives patients the opportunity to celebrate the professional skills and patient relations of their hearing professional. Although each practice differs, a successful nominee will emphasize the hearing professional's core ethical values such as commitment to hearing health, honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.

In the United States, there will be 5 finalists selected, one from each of the geographic regions below. From that group, the national winner will be chosen.

• Northeast Region - CT, MA, ME, MI, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT
  
• Mid-Atlantic Region - KY, DC, DE, IN, MD, NC, OH, TN, VA, WV, Puerto Rico
  
• Midwest Region - CA, HI, IL, MN, ND, SD, WI
  
• South Region - AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, OK, SC, TX
  
• West Region - AK, AZ, CO, IA, ID, KS, NE, MO, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY

Each regional finalist will enjoy the title of National Finalist: Hearing Professional of the Year 2011, as well as a framed certificate and a donation of $500 made in their name to the hearing care not-for-profit charity of their choice. They will also be put forward for the National Hearing Professional of the Year Award, where they could win the overall coveted title. This overall winner will be named National Hearing Professional of the Year 2011, claiming a prestigious award and an additional $1000 charitable donation to a hearing care not-for-profit in their name.

Entries are judged on their quality and how well they bring to life the work of the hearing care professional. The closing date for entries is September 30, 2011.
