This renowned workshop provides a unique opportunity to learn best practices in hearing aid fitting from leading experts in a small group setting.

There are fun times to be had in Music City! The Vanderbilt Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences will host its 21st annual Hearing Aid Hands-On Workshop September 15-17th, 2016 at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center in Nashville, TN. This three-day event covers all aspects of hearing aid selection, fitting and verification. Drs. Gus Mueller, Todd Ricketts and other Vandy faculty will provide lively discussions and interactive, hands-on training on the latest technology, processing algorithms and verification instrumentation. Topics include: selection and fitting of the newest advanced features, such as bilateral beamforming, wireless streaming technology and frequency lowering; patient fitting considerations regarding speech testing and cognitive issues; speech mapping and probe-mic measures for prescriptive verification and feature assessment, and more. This workshop features hands-on activities using the fitting software from leading manufacturers while driving different models of probe-microphone equipment, and conducting speech mapping applications. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn best practices from leading experts in a small, dynamic group setting. There will also be ample time to enjoy the wonderful sites and sounds of Music City in the evenings with your notable and experienced Vandy tour guides.
