This presentation aims to provide a framework for understanding patients’ readiness to act on dispensers' recommendations, to empower patients to express their needs and concerns in a structured dialogue and to enable dispensers to uncover patients’ internal motivation. Since 2014, Danish trained audiologist, Anne Mette Jeppesen has been contributing to the development of Institute training seminars, workshops and other outreach activities and facilitates part of the Institute’s Vision 2020 process. Prior to joining Ida Institute, Jeppesen worked in project management for a global hearing aid manufacturer where she specialized in tinnitus research and the creation of clinical tools. She earned a Master of Arts in Audiology and Speech Pathology at the University of Copenhagen and completed a thesis on cochlear implants.
