The Manager of International Programs will lead and manage the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s International Programs team, and help to manage programs and training.

Our Mission:

The mission of the Starkey Hearing Foundation is to bring understanding between people through hearing care by focusing on awareness, education, protection and treatment so the world may hear.  The Manager of International Programs oversees the development and distribution of protocols, processes and best practices for Starkey Hearing Foundation’s international programs, primarily the WFA® Community-Based Hearing HealthCare Program.

You Will:

  • Oversee processes and protocols for Starkey Hearing Foundation International WFA® Community-Based Hearing HealthCare Program
    • International Program Manual
    • International Training Workbook/Overview
    • Mission Forms
    • Training Videos/Powerpoints
    • Guide the direction of the Phase 1, 2, 3 & 4 model and content to improve processes, increase efficiency and patient care.
    • Work with necessary departments on program related processes: Materials Management, Logistics, Marketing, All Make Repair, Earmold Lab, Finance
    • Oversee development of program materials:
  • Distribute and train on program updates, protocols, procedures and program/mission forms
  • Oversee International Program Communication/Storage platforms and distribution of program updates
    • Canvas
    • Trello
  • Lead International and Domestic Trainings, Events and Presentations
    • Determine dates, format, staffing, materials, content, create PowerPoint presentations
    • Work with International Development Directors on training budgets 
    • Travel, oversee and present at training and events as requested
    • Support International Development Directors (IDDs) to develop local program teams (Country Coordinators, Hearing Care Coordinators, Data Officers)
  • Oversee International program
    • Ensure organizational charts and contact lists are up to date and accessible to Leadership Team
  • Oversee Phase 4 program – Mainstreaming into Life
    • Work with local leads on Phase 4 through weekly contact and assessing weekly reports
    • Monitor effectiveness of program and leads
    • Develop Phase 4 budgets with the International Development Directors/Lead, reviewing and approving
  • Support Phase 1-3 Missions (as assigned):
    • Support International Development Directors in executing Phase 2 Fitting Trainings and Volunteer Orientations
    • Execute staff meetings and help host dinners
    • Hold AfterCare and online trainings as needed 

You Will Need:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Audiology
  • Experience in Community or Public Health
  • Project management or technical administrative experience required
  • Minimum 2 years’ international travel experience or Foundation experience required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, calendar system, basic office equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal/customer relations skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Good writing and communication skills required
  • Good problem solving skills required
  • Ability to react positively to change
  • Ability to self- manage, self-motivate and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and travel
  • Ability to adapt to last minute requests & meet sharp deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Be detail orientated and ensure proper execution of high profile items.
