    MED-EL is seeking qualified applicants for the following professional position:

    Acoustics Systems Field Specialist – 1 Position

    Primary Function:  The Acoustics Systems Field Specialist is a remote position managed from our headquarters in Durham, North Carolina.  We are looking for one position based in the southeastern U.S. (NC, GA, FL or TN preferred) within close proximity to a major airport.    Responsibilities include developing and maintaining professional relationships that result in growing Acoustics Systems and Cochlear Implant sales.  The Specialist will concentrate on ADHEAR, BONEBRIDGE and Cochlear Implant systems.  This position will require extensive travel to clinics to develop and sustain relationships with customers in the field.  The Specialist will also provide clinical support to U.S. consumers and professionals.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide support for clinical inquiries from hearing health professionals regarding MED-EL bone conduction and cochlear implant devices
    • Provide support and technical training for accounts with ADHEAR, BB, and CI products including products, competition and follow up
    • Provide surgical support and technical fitting support for ADHEAR, BB and CI systems in collaboration with the regional Account Management team in the Southeast region.

    Position Qualifications:

    • Masters’ degree in an area related to hearing disorders, hearing health care, or audiology

    • Surgical experience with auditory implants or equivalent is a plus

    • Additional value-added educational assets:

      • Master's degree or greater in Audiology from an ASHA accredited university

      • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)

      • Relevant work experience
