7/15/2008
The 24th annual Scott Haug Hill Country Audiology Retreat is scheduled for September 25-28th, 2008. Mark your calendars for, “GO STATE in ’08!”, and get ready to show off your school’s colors during the event at the T Bar M Ranch and Resort in New Braunfels, Texas.
This year’s team of speakers has agreed to cheer us on as we continue to learn and grow in our professional lives. We’ll kick-off the talks with Don Schum, Ph.D. lecture on “Speech Understanding in Complex Environments: Technology & the Brain”. Robert Sweetow, Ph.D. spirits us on with "Clinical Management of Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Patients" then root for the home team while William Shapiro Au.D. reviews “Cochlear Implantation: Candidacy and Outcome Measures”. Head Cheerleader Rose Minnete, M.A. will shout a rousing “RAH, RAH, RAH Resources!!”, updating us on resources and Assistive Listening Devices now available for our patients with Paul Dybala, Ph.D; giving a follow up cheer; “Ten Million Reasons to Think About the Internet, Marketing and your Audiology Website”
You’ll be given a chance to show off the school’s colors of your alma mater in a number of ways. Whether it’s during the golf scramble, or while tubing on the Comal River, or during our ‘GO STATE in ‘08” theme dance when all the jocks, band geeks, cheerleaders, homecoming kings & queens, frat boys and sority girls will be dancing the night away. Eventually you’ll our teams spirit will lead us to the homecoming trophy, The Casa. Relax there; enjoy time with colleagues, mingle with speakers and corporate sponsors and share your schools fight songs.
If you’ve have never been to the Scott Haug Hill Country Audiology Retreat, it’s time to see what this team’s line up is all about If it has been a few years since you’ve joined the squad it’s time to come home. For more information, go to www.scotthaug.org and contact us.
