Robert V. Harrison, PhD
Senior Scientist, Neuroscience and Mental Health Division; Director of Research, Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery;Professor, Department of Physiology
Bob Harrison is Professor and Director of Research in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is also a Senior Scientist in Neuroscience and Mental Health at the Hospital for Sick Children. He is also on the faculty of the Advanced Studies Program in cochlear implants at the George Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University. Bob has basic training in biological sciences, with doctoral degrees in auditory neuroscience from universities in the U.K. He worked with scientists in England, France, and the Netherlands before moving to Canada. His research ranges from basic laboratory science to clinically applied projects in the area of hearing loss and communication disorders. His research philosophy is to take new basic science findings and apply them to promote wellness and improved healthcare.
