Since the evolution of more sophisticated digital processing, the appropriate verification of these devices has lagged behind. In this presentation the use of Visible Speech Mapping as a quick and easy method for counseling and verifying hearing aids will be covered, including its intended use, functionality and benefits using the Interacoustics Affinity Suite 2.0 Hearing Aid Analyzer.
Learning Outcomes
- After completion of this course, participants will be able to identify why Visible Speech Mapping has added advantages over traditional REM measurements.
- During the presentation participants will be taught how the percentile analysis of the speech signal is derived in Visible Speech Mapping. They should be able to explain why such a method of analysis compliments a traditional REM sweep.
- During the presentation participants will be shown through the Interacoustics Affinity Suite 2.0 software pertaining to Visible Speech Mapping. They will be familiar with the software enough to be able to carry out Visible Speech Mapping within their clin
