Question

How many sizes does the SeboTek PAC come in? What holds the receiver/speaker in place?

Answer

There are three sizes of speaker links and seven ear tip sizes. This combination of links and ear tips enables the PAC to fit most patients. The ''link'' attaches to the BTE-like processor via a snap-in connector. The connection is designed to fit tight and secure, but at the same time, enables the receiver to be easily disengaged and exchanged, if needed. The contoured shape of the link, which is actually very thin wire, helps keep the receiver properly positioned in the canal.

The final judge of the success of a new fitting will of course be the patient, and the criteria that they use may not always be in line with an objective audiological measure. This course will review some of the issues and options at play when having the patient weigh in on the value of the new devices.
