Question

What is the My Sound feature in Widex MOMENT hearing aids, and how does it improve the wearer experience?

Answer

Found in the MOMENT app, My Sound combines the capacity of artificial intelligence with the relevance of real-world experience to deliver a new level of automated customization. Through AI modeling and clustering of data collected through SoundSense Learn, My Sound delivers highly qualified recommendations for the wearer built on the intent, needs and preferences of thousands of real users in real environments.

My Sound works by using AI, statistical probability models, and clustering of user preference data to determine the ideal settings for each scenario. If a patient isn’t entirely happy with the sound of their hearing aids at a particular moment, they can engage My Sound and indicate their “situation” and “intention.” The wearer is then presented with two recommendations based on data gained from Widex hearing aid users around the world. If the wearer is looking for a more unique sound, they can choose the classic A/B comparison they are used to by tapping the SoundSense Learn button.  In addition to creating a better, more personalized experience for the patient, My Sound also benefits their hearing care professional. Because the patient can easily make AI-powered adjustments themselves, it can save time by reducing the number of in-person visits to help adjust their hearing aids. The settings selected by the patient can also be viewed at any time in the Real-Life Insights window in COMPASS GPS V4.2 under the new My Sound tab, giving you full visibility into how your patient is using and benefiting from My Sound.
