Neil Patel
MD
Dr. Neil Patel is a skull base surgeon and neurotologist who is currently Associate Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at University of Utah. His clinical practice focuses on complex disorders of the lateral skull base, ear, and temporal bone, with expertise in cochlear implantation for adults and children. He has authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in research in the areas of cochlear implantation and skull base tumors. Dr. Patel is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and completed his residency and neurotology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Kate Johnson

Dr. Kate Johnson is a trained audiologist providing services including cochlear implants, adult diagnostics, and hearing aids. Her passion lies in adult cochlear implantation, and she is trained to work with individuals with severe-to-profound hearing loss. She enjoys guiding patients through the cochlear implant process, from evaluation to activation, to lifelong follow-up care. Her research interests include cochlear implant patient outcomes and quality of life. Dr. Johnson joined the University of Utah Hospital following the completion of her graduate studies at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2017. In her free time, she loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy the mountains.
