Position Overview

As a Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser, you will work directly with patients to evaluate hearing needs, recommend hearing solutions, and provide ongoing support and care. You will play an important role in helping patients improve their quality of life through better hearing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations including sound field, air conduction, and bone conduction testing
• Clearly communicate hearing test results and treatment recommendations to patients and their families
• Recommend, fit, program, and service hearing instruments
• Provide auditory rehabilitation guidance and patient counseling
• Obtain ear mold impressions when necessary
• Maintain accurate patient records and required state/federal documentation
• Repair and troubleshoot hearing instruments and accessories
• Ensure hearing equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
• Monitor and document sales, repairs, and credits
• Assist with marketing and office growth initiatives
• Build and maintain professional relationships with patients, co-workers, and vendors
• Deliver exceptional patient care and follow-up services

Qualifications

• Current California Hearing Aid Dispensing License required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Customer service experience preferred
• Previous sales experience recommended
• Strong listening and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build rapport and trust with patients
• Strong negotiation skills balanced with compassion and patient care
• Must be able to sit for extended periods throughout the day
• Good dexterity in both hands
