About the Department: The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders offers programs for master’s, Ph.D., Audiology Assistants, and an Audiology Specialty Certificate. The department has a strong reputation for excellent teaching, outstanding research and scholarly productivity, and outstanding clinical training with a diverse student body. The department recently launched the undergraduate Audiology Assistant Certificate Program, which offers coursework and supervised clinical experiences to prepare students for the ASHA certification exam and credentialing. The certificate program is available to GSU students at the Atlanta and Clarkston campuses. We also offer a newly approved Audiology Specialty Certificate program for post-baccalaureate, graduate students, and other professionals interested in audiology with a prime focus on interprofessional education and collaborative practice. 

Position Description: This is a teaching position that requires a 4-4 teaching load along with service requirements. Teaching responsibilities include: supervising graduate students in on-campus and/or off- campus practicum experiences; teaching undergraduate or graduate classes as needed. Service requirements include participating in service to the program, department, college, university, and the profession.

Required Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of Audiology clinical experience, CCC-A, and eligibility for Georgia state licensure.

Required Education: Ph.D., Au.D. or Master’s in Audiology at the time of appointment.

Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations: Candidate must hold CCC-A and Georgia state licensure, or be eligible for licensure.

Pre-Employment Requirements: A criminal background check and terminal degree verification are required prior to hire. 

Work Hours: Position may require non-standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations).
