The Opportunity
The Americans for Better Hearing Foundation (ABHF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the Chicago area, is seeking an Audiologist to help deliver comprehensive hearing services to underserved Medicaid and low-income communities. This role has no sales responsibilities. Instead, your focus will be on identifying hearing loss and fitting patients with hearing aids that can improve their quality of life. We see patients as people, not profit.
As an added benefit, ABHF qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is flexible, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently. These qualities are essential to supporting our team and serving patients across a variety of care settings.
ABHF operates four clinics and provides hearing services to approximately 150 nursing facilities. This position includes a combination of clinic-based work and travel. Our billing department manages all billing matters, so you can focus your time and attention on patient care rather than insurance frustrations.
Why This Role May Be a Good Fit
This opportunity may be ideal if you are looking for a role beyond traditional hearing aid sales or need flexibility in your schedule, such as time to take your child to and from school. The position allows you to see patients during the day and complete administrative tasks remotely, supporting a healthier work-life balance.
AUD graduates are encouraged to apply.
