While it might seem like a small part of the overall process, calibrating the microphones to deliver optimized directional performance can have a significant impact for patients. As an audiologist, I know that even the smallest improvements in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) can make or break a patient’s listening experience. Being able to achieve an additional 2 dB of SNR improvement is meaningful and can translate into a noticeable difference in how well a patient hears in real-world environments.

Danielle Hayden Au.D., is the Northeast Regional Trainer at Unitron. Danielle completed her Doctorate of Audiology through Salus University and returned to Long Island, New York to begin her career. Before joining the Unitron team, she worked in diagnostics and amplification across both private practice and wholesale settings.
