Share:

West Lafayette, IN - Kelly Halligan, AuD, was recently elected to the Audiology Foundation of America's Board of Directors. Dr. Halligan has more than 20 years of experience as an audiologist. Early in her career she worked as Director of Marketing and Professional Relations for an international hearing aid manufacturer, and has been in private practice in Denver, Colorado since 1989. She is also an experienced speaker and published author.

Dr. Halligan stated that she joined the AFA Board to promote the benefits of obtaining an AuD degree, and to educate audiologists about the importance of the AFA's mission to transform audiology to a doctoring profession. According to Dr. Halligan, "Without the perseverance of the AFA, my distance education program would not have been available. It is vitally important that audiologists come together to help transition our profession. There is more to accomplish before we have unity and consumer recognition. The AFA has been the chief force in advancing the transition and I look forward to working to promote audiology's transition to the AuD."
