Lafayette, IN - The Audiology Foundation of America (AFA) is again offering its "Clued into Audiology" otoscope program for third-year Au.D. students. "Clued into Audiology" will be open through March 12, 2008, and requires students to read several articles and complete a short quiz to earn an otoscope.
All third-year students in four-year Au.D. programs are eligible to participate, and otoscopes will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Hal-Hen in conjunction with Widex has donated more than $15,000 in otoscopes for the "Clued into Audiology" program this year, which directly assists the AFA in its work to support Au.D. students and the Au.D. movement.
"This program helps Au.D. students learn something of the history of the Au.D. movement by reading important articles that have been written throughout the transition," said AFA Executive Director Susan Paarlberg. "It gives them a sense of where audiology has come from, where it's headed, and what the important milestones have been."
