The American Auditory Society Scientific and Technology Meeting will be held March 20-22, 2005 at the La Posada Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. This meeting has become one of the premiere meetings in the discipline of hearing. This multi-disciplinary meeting offers the following distinct presentations:

 

 

  • Translational Research Presentations by Dr. Lloyd Minor, Dr. John Guinan, Dr. William Rhode, and Dr. Arthur Boothroyd.
  • Technology Updates by sixteen leading developers in the discipoline of hearing
  • Fifty-two Podium Presentations
  • Special Sesson on Speech Perception, Hearing and Habilittion in Children by Dr Susan Nittrouer, Dr. Laurie Eisenberg, and Dr. Pat Stelmachowicz
  • Carhart Memorial Lecture by Dr. David Kemp of the UCL Centre for Auditory Research, Ear Institute, London, England, titled "Otoacoustic Emissions - From Conception to Clinic"
  • Presentation of a Life Achievement Award to Dr. Ira Hirsh
  • Recognition of the "best paper for 2005" in Ear & Hearing
  • Introduction to research procedures by Dr. Paul Abbas of the University of Iowa
  • NIH funded doctoral research poster presentations
  • General poster presentations

The meeting includes an awards luncheon and ends with a Social at the Desert Botanical Garden on Tuesday evening.
