AUSTRALIAN TINNITUS ASSOCIATION (NSW) LTD is a non-profit organisation established in December 1984. A charity staffed by volunteers whose major aims are:
To assist tinnitus sufferers in coping with tinnitus.
Encourage health professionals to provide support and treatment services for tinnitus sufferers.
Promote community awareness of tinnitus and the preventable dangers of excessive noise causing some forms of tinnitus and deafness.
Assist in any research and prevention programs
Promote exchange of information with overseas tinnitus associations.
Through the "ATA" tinnitus sufferers have access to telephone counsellors support network and Self-Help-Groups.
The role of our Self-Help Group networks is regarded by leading health professionals as uniquely important. It is a very special fellowship.
