Dr Franklin M. Rizer, II, neurotologist, died in a single plane accident earlier this month. Dr Rizer was a pioneer in cochlear implantation and he brought the gift of hearing to countless children and adults. Dr Rizer was a contributor to Audiology Online and Healthy Hearing. It was an honor to know Frank personally and to enjoy his laughter, expertise and knowledge. Frank died doing what he loved.
