GN ReSound Now Accepting Nominations for the 2000 Caring for the Profession Award

MINNEAPOLIS - GN ReSound, the second largest hearing aid manufacturer worldwide, is accepting nominations for the 2000 Caring for the Profession Award. This prestigious award is designed to recognize outstanding achievement in advancing the profession of audiology and enhancing its ability to effectively care for the hearing impaired.

Significant contributions include, but are not limited to:

Creating an organization or cause designed to inform the public about the dangers of long-term exposure to noise and/or subsequent treatments for hearing loss.

Creating public awareness at the legislative level regarding hearing damage/loss.

Creating industry activities that support the increasing role of the Au.D. as the emerging degree for the audiology industry.

Creating an environment of support for those with hearing damage.

Anyone within the audiology industry may nominate an individual or organization for this award; however, hearing aid manufacturers are not eligible to win.

The Caring for the Profession Award will be judged by a select panel of industry professionals, and will be presented at the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists convention Oct. 25-29 in San Diego.
