Healthy Hearing Becomes Corporate Member of HLAA

Share:
(San Antonio, TX) - Healthy Hearing (healthyhearing.com), a leading Web site for consumer information on hearing loss and hearing aids, has recently become a Corporate Member of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA).

HLAA is the nation's leading organization representing people with hearing loss. In the United States, 31.5 million people (one in ten) have hearing loss, making it the largest public health issue after heart disease and arthritis.

Healthy Hearing commends the assistance and resources HLAA provides for people with hearing loss and their families. Their efforts to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss and raise public awareness for hearing loss prevention and the importance of regular hearing screenings are invaluable.

"We are proud to support an organization whose advocacy for people with hearing loss is much needed, considering the impact hearing loss has on quality of life", states Paul Dybala, Ph.D. President and Editor-in-Chief of Healthy Hearing.

HLAA is active at the state and national levels, working with legislation on issues that impact people with hearing loss, whether it's funding for hearing aids and cochlear implants, communication access to telecommunications or in public places, or other important issues.
