Los Angeles, CA - INSIGHT CINEMA is pleased to announce that Century Theatres has added three new theater locations in Northern California and one in Southern California to the Open-Captioned Film program.

Beginning March 4, 2003, each of these theaters will show an open captioned film every Tuesday and Wednesday. The Northern California locations are: Century Plaza 10 in South San Francisco, Century Berryessa 10 in San Jose, and the Century 16 Bayfair in San Leandro. In Southern California, the weekly Tuesday-Wednesday program will be shown at the Century 8 in North Hollywood. Theater addresses and showtime information can be found at www.CenturyTheatres.com or www.InSightCinema.org.

Open Captions are enhanced English subtitles with audio prompts like doorbells, gunshots and off-screen dialogue that are placed directly on the screen. No equipment is needed to enjoy the Big Screen experience. InSight Cinema is the premiere source for open captioned films for deaf and hard of hearing audiences in the United States. Approximately 50 are seen in over 400 cities annually.

With more than six decades in the industry, the San Rafael, California based Century Theatres continually searches for new ways to make every visit to the movies special. Patrons can depend on Century's convenience, luxury, service and quality; a commitment we make from the moment they hear about a film through the final credits.

According to Nanci Linke-Ellis, Executive Director of InSight Cinema, "Century is also committed to expanding accessibility to deaf and hard of hearing movie-lovers through the open captioned film programs in other states in the very near future. Century has been a wonderful partner to InSight and we are very excited about these new additions."

Ray Syufy, CEO of Century Theatres also commented, "Not only for the deaf and hard of hearing, open captioned films also enhance the movie-going experience for seniors, English as a Second Language students and Adult Literacy groups. Part of the strength of this program is based on playing the best in mainstream films. We have a solid slate, and we are excited to bring them to a new segment of movie enthusiasts."
