Reston, VA – The American Academy of Audiology is currently accepting applications for eight student scholarship opportunities open to audiology graduate students. Applications are open through April 30, 2026. Eligible students are current national SAA members enrolled full-time in an audiology graduate program at a U.S. university for the 25-26 academic year (not graduating in spring/summer 2026). Applicants may only receive one scholarship award per cycle and are only eligible to receive a specific scholarship one time.
The following scholarships are available:
- Amit Gosalia Scholarship in Private Practice Audiology: $1,500 scholarship is awarded to two students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist interested in pursuing a career in private practice.
- Continued Achievement Scholarship: $2,000 scholarship is awarded to two students who show exceptional promise in providing outstanding patient care as a clinical audiologist.
- Empowering Students Scholarship: $5,000 scholarship is awarded to four students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist. $20,000 in scholarship funds is available.
- Jerry Northern Scholarship in Pediatric Audiology: $10,000 scholarship is awarded to three (3) students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist with a focus on the specialty of pediatric audiology.
- Jill Botkin Hearing Health-Care Accessibility Scholarship: $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who is committed to enhancing access to hearing care services, especially in communities that lack geographical access to hearing care.
- Judith Blumsack Scholarship: $500 scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates outstanding clinical skills and who shows promise in terms of clinical research and service to the hearing health community.
- Sadanand Singh Memorial Scholarship: $500 scholarship is awarded to one minority or international student who shows exceptional promise in audiology research.
- NEW! Student Mexico Mission Scholarship: Awarded to two students interested in the opportunity to deliver hearing healthcare in underserved communities while gaining hands-on clinical and cultural experience. Up to $5,000 will be awarded to cover costs associated with participating in the Hearing the Call Mexico Outreach Program. The dates for the selected trip are October 10-17, 2026.
