Partnership Announced at the National Hearing Conservation Association Conference as Sonomax Unveils Revolutionary Hearing Protection Technology

DALLAS - Sonomax Hearing Healthcare Inc. (CDNX:SHH) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate with the National Campaign for Hearing Health (NCHH) in its campaign to eradicate noise-induced hearing loss. Based in Washington DC, NCHH is the public education and advocacy arm of the Deafness Research Foundation, North America's largest private funder of hearing science and research.

"Of all the causes of hearing loss, one is totally preventable, and that's hearing loss caused by noise in the industrial workplace or recreational environment," said Kiersten Tomchik, Director of Corporate and Media Relations for the National Campaign for Hearing Health. "Through its product offering and its collaboration with NCHH and other leading hearing healthcare organizations, Sonomax is making an important contribution to reducing the incidence of noise-induced hearing loss everywhere."

With this MOU, Sonomax becomes the first company to earn the right to feature the NCHH logo on its SONOMAX SOLUTION™ hearing protection technology. In addition, Sonomax and the National Campaign for Hearing Health have agreed to mutually support one another in awareness-building, education and advocacy initiatives related to the prevention of hearing loss from "toxic noise". Sonomax has further agreed to make an annual financial contribution to the National Campaign for Hearing Health.

"Sonomax is teaming with a key partner in hearing health advocacy to deliver on the second prong of our mission," said Nick Laperle, President and COO of Montreal-based Sonomax Hearing Healthcare Inc.

"Sonomax is dedicated to lowering the incidence of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) by developing and marketing breakthrough hearing protection technologies," said Laperle. "But we're also committed to raising awareness of the unacceptable costs of NIHL. Now, as we bring our revolutionary hearing protection technology to market, our partnership with the DRF will help build awareness that NIHL is preventable."

Mr. Laperle announced the MOU at the 27th Annual Conference of the National Hearing Conservation Association in Dallas, Texas, where Sonomax is unveiling the SONOMAX SOLUTION™ hearing protection technology to an audience of North America's foremost leaders in hearing conservation.

The SONOMAX SOLUTION™ is a revolutionary breakthrough in hearing protection systems in that it allows in-ear hearing protectors to be custom-fitted at the workplace in minutes. Using SONO-PASS™, the company's proprietary support software, Sonomax earplugs are individually calibrated to screen out harmful noise while permitting communication, and tested on the spot to provide objective proof of the attenuation levels achieved. The SONOMAX SOLUTION™ permits customized in-ear hearing protection that fits perfectly and therefore protects perfectly to be delivered to users on a mass scale for the first time.
