March 2009 - Copenhagen, Denmark - Oticon A/S has named Thomas E. Christensen as Vice President of Research & Development. In his new position, Christensen will lead Oticon's research and product development teams in the development of innovative and breakthrough advanced technology hearing solutions, a pursuit that has earned Oticon a leadership position in the hearing care industry.

"Thomas has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to motivate and to inspire innovative concepts and products," states Søren Nielsen, President of Oticon A/S. "His considerable experience and knowledge of advanced technology hearing solutions and his willingness to meet both opportunities and challenges make him an ideal choice for this position."
