(April 16, 2026) — Starkey announces that Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Engineering, Achin Bhowmik, Ph.D., has been inducted into the 2026 College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), one of the highest professional honors in the field.
Election to the AIMBE College of Fellows places Dr. Bhowmik among the top two percent of medical and biological engineers worldwide, recognizing individuals who have made outstanding contributions to engineering, medicine, and the advancement of innovative technologies.
Dr. Bhowmik has been a driving force behind Starkey’s transformation into a leader in AI-powered hearing technology. His vision and leadership have accelerated the development of multifunctional hearing devices that go far beyond traditional amplification, integrating artificial intelligence, health monitoring, and connectivity to enhance overall patient experience.
