Share:

The University of Florida at Gainesville will host a hands-on Otoacoustic Emissions and Auditory Evoked Response Workshop. The event will be sponsored by the University of Florida Department of Communicative Disorders and Nashville ENT Clinic, Nashville, TN.

The Workshop will be offered in two parts on January 13-15, 2000 (at the Nashville ENT Clinic in Nashville), and again on July 20-22, 2000 (at the Dept. of Communicative Disorders in Gainesville).

Auditory electrophysiologic measurement is an essential dimension of audiologic practice, and now extends beyond the traditional applications of ABR. During the past 8 years, this popular workshop has provided over 650 audiologists with vital information on auditory evoked responses and, more recently, on otoacoustic emissions. The workshop emphasizes auditory electrophysiology principles, protocols, and practices. Participants in the course are given hands-on experience by means of laboratory demonstrations with the latest instrumentation from major manufacturers.

The University of Florida is approved to offer CEU's for this activity. This program is worth a maximum of 2.2 CEUs (1.3 CEUs for Part I and 0.9 CEUs for Part II). American Academy of Audiology approval of this continuing education activity does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.

Tuition for the workshop includes all didactic presentations, hands-on laboratory sessions, course materials, refreshments at breaks, and indicated lunch. Due to the intensity of the hands-on laboratory sessions, attendance at each workshop is limited. Early registration is stronly recommended. Tuition: Part I (OAE) only -- $250.00; Part II (AER) only -- $250.00; Entire Workshop (Parts I and II) -- $450.00; Discount (full-time Au.D. Students only) -- $300.00.
