Widex Introduces Allure AI RIC with Clarity Boost, Redefining How AI Supports Natural Hearing

  • A unique approach to AI preserves natural sound for everyday listening while delivering on-demand clarity in noisy environments
  • Clinical studies show 95% of wearers report improved speech in noise and 97% describe the sound as natural and clear[1]
  • Allure AI RIC with Clarity Boost delivers up to 6 dB improvement in output SNR relative to competitors with AI-based denoising at realistic SNRs[2]
  • Widex introduces Compass Cloud 2.0, enhancing its cloud-based fitting platform with new tools that improve first fits, follow-up visits, and user experience

LYNGE, DENMARK, May 20, 2026 – Widex, the leading brand in natural sound and part of WSA, today introduced Widex Allure AI RIC with Clarity Boost, a new hearing aid that takes a more deliberate approach to artificial intelligence – preserving natural sound in everyday listening while giving wearers direct access to added clarity in noise when they choose it.

Allure AI RIC reflects a shift in how AI is applied in hearing technology. Rather than relying on continuous processing, it maintains the Widex foundation of natural sound and introduces a dedicated AI co-processor that the wearer activates when they want added support in noisy situations.

Alongside the device, Widex is launching Widex Compass Cloud 2.0, the latest evolution of its cloud-based fitting platform, designed to strengthen fitting precision, consistency, and efficiency for hearing care professionals (HCPs).

Widex Allure AI RIC
“Widex Allure AI RIC resolves one of the most persistent challenges in hearing care – improving speech in noise without disrupting the natural sound quality that patients demand,” said Ngozi Amobi, Head of Widex. “We’ve taken a different approach, preserving natural sound as the foundation and introducing AI processing only when it adds value. Combined with Compass Cloud 2.0, we’re delivering hearing care professionals the tools they need to support more fine-tuning possibilities in follow-up visits and deliver natural sound for everyday listening with targeted clarity in noise when it matters most.”

Natural Sound as the Foundation, On-Demand AI for Clarity in Noise
Widex Allure AI RIC introduces an AI processing approach that maintains natural sound quality in daily listening while adding clarity in more demanding environments.

At its foundation, the Allure platform delivers a natural balance of focus and awareness, powered by the W1 chip and Precision Hearing Technology. Clinical studies show that Allure performs as well as or better than leading AI-based competitors for speech intelligibility in realistic conditions, delivering up to 26% better speech intelligibility for moderate-to-severe hearing loss, while 95% of wearers report improved speech in noise and 97% describe the sound as natural and clear.

When listening environments become more complex, the Clarity Boost program activates a dedicated AI co-processor, giving wearers direct control over enhanced noise management. Using an audio-specific neural network designed to preserve sound quality, the system delivers up to 6 dB higher output SNR compared with leading AI-based competitors, supporting clearer conversations while maintaining awareness of surrounding sounds. The result is a listening experience that combines a natural everyday sound profile with clarity when it is needed.

The device delivers all-day battery life, with up to 32 hours of use, including 6 hours of AI use or streaming, alongside future-ready connectivity options such as mFi, ASHA, and LE Audio connectivity, telecoil functionality, and hands-free communication. Charging options – including standard, Charge & Clean, and portable Qi-enabled solutions – provide flexibility across usage scenarios, and the Widex Allure AI RIC is available in 10 color options. All of this advanced processing is included in the same modern form factor as our traditional Allure RIC.

The Allure AI RIC will be available in five markets on June 1st, followed by a full-scale launch in the remaining markets, including the US, on November 1, 2026.

Fitting Experience with new tools that improve first fits and user experience
Widex Compass Cloud 2.0 builds on the industry’s first cloud-based fitting software with new tools that improve first fits, follow-up visits, user experience, and continuous performance updates.

Widex Compass Cloud
Developed in partnership with HCPs, it introduces a refined fitting rationale informed by thousands of real fittings, alongside personalization tools to ensure each fitting aligns with the wearer from the outset and supports strong first-fit acceptance.

Targeted updates strengthen both workflow efficiency and fine-tuning. An improved Adaptation Manager supports a smoother onboarding experience, while SmartSpeak provides clear spoken status updates. Expanded Data Logging and Sound Class Adjustments offer deeper insight for precise adjustments, and Transfer Settings simplifies configuration across fittings.

With over 99.9% uptime and HCP satisfaction reaching 4 out of 5, Compass Cloud continues to deliver a reliable, responsive fitting experience. More than 90% of wearers report that Allure hearing aids are easy to get used to, reflecting the strength of the updated fitting rationale in supporting early success. Because the platform operates in the cloud, new features and improvements are delivered automatically and continuously without interrupting workflow.

“Compass Cloud 2.0, together with Allure AI RIC, expands what’s possible in hearing care by connecting a cloud-based fitting approach with a device designed around natural sound and on-demand AI support,” concluded Amobi. “It enables HCPs to deliver efficient, accurate first fits and refine them over time with greater precision, while ensuring their patients experience natural sound for everyday listening with targeted clarity in noise when it’s needed. Together, this defines a new standard in hearing care – uniting fitting accuracy with natural sound and on-demand clarity in noise.”
