Widex Offers Hurricane Harvey Support

Share:

HAUPPAUGE, NY - Widex wearers who lost or damaged their hearing aids during Hurricane Harvey can receive replacements free of charge, thanks to a new Widex initiative.

Widex has hearing care providers in Houston and Louisiana, two areas hit especially hard by the hurricane. Hurricane Harvey was the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since 2005. It caused severe flooding in Texas and Louisiana, displaced 30,000 people and was responsible for 70 deaths.

“At Widex, we were saddened to see the devastating toll that Hurricane Harvey inflicted on so many people in its path,” says Widex USA President Jeff Geigel. “We are committed to helping local hearing healthcare professionals take care of their patients who lost Widex hearing aids in the recent flooding.”

Widex has a strong commitment to helping people in times of need. Now, that commitment to care extends to the Texas and Louisiana area. Hearing healthcare professionals with patients whose hearing aids were lost or damaged by the storm can contact their local Widex representative for assistance. Replacements will be made at no cost.
