In early October, the AFA received a $10,000 donation from Widex. The money will be used to provide scholarships for students enrolled in distance education programs. Scholarships will be awarded in 2004.
According to AFA Chair Ken Lowder, Au.D., "We are very grateful to Widex for this generous donation. We hope that the scholarships that are made possible by the donation will encourage new applicants to distance learning Au.D. programs."
