Question
What effects might auditory dys-synchrony have on Auditory Steady-State Response test results? How would this vary with different modulation rates, such as 80 Hz and 40 Hz. If possible, please provide references for further reading.
Answer
Our research experience which is on brainstem and cortical lesions appears to result in an increase in ASSR thresholds or even compromise the response totally. We have not had direct experience with dys synchrony but I would bet similar results would evolve.
