Question

Where can I find last-minute CEU offerings to meet state licensure CE requirements in 2023?

Answer

A Guide to Available Resources

The final months of the calendar always usher in several seasonal reminders that the year is ending and it’s time to prepare for the next.

Between national meetings, state conferences, in-office trainings, and even with print media, the opportunity for CEU content is abundant, and last-minute CEUs are as unthinkable as shopping on the way to the holiday party. When asked, “What is available to help complete my CE requirements?” I am happy to say I have several options for you to consider.

Since many states request that practicing professionals complete coursework not directly related to a product or service, I would like to begin with 4 courses offered in Phonak’s library that fit the bill.

4 Phonak Courses from 2023:

First on this list, we have “Foundations of Hearing Loss and Cognition" with Brandy Pouliot, Au.D. This presentation reflects the latest course option in this category, originally aired on 12/4, on the timely topic of cognition and healthy aging.

Next, as part of the Industry Innovations Summit, “Hearing Healthcare that Meets the Modern Consumer”, presented by Shannon Basham, Au.D. explores emerging trends beyond the hearing care industry that still have remarkable parallel influence in our day-to-day approach.

Finally, there are two offerings by yours truly, Steve Hallenbeck Au.D., titled “Going for the Goal: Relating COSI Goals to Features and Benefits” and “Getting Real (Ear) About Fitting Protocols”. During the year, these were quite well attended for their broad educational content and received stellar reviews, respectively.

Top 5 Tech Courses:

These will surely provide all the information to make you a pro when fitting Phonak technology, whether hearing aids or remote microphone technology. Click on these courses, watch the content, pass the quiz, and then you can settle in for a long winter’s nap knowing full well that you are all caught up for yet another license renewal season.

Thanks, and have a happy holiday season!
