Nice to see the comparative studies. The format of 20 questions is outstanding. It allows questions that could not usually be raised in a text course to be answered. The graphs were clear and the presentation structure was able to paint a clear picture of the studies about stress for audiologists.

I could relate to this topic in that the information presented confirmed my work experience daily of not having enough time daily to complete all needed patient care, reports, phone calls, and more. It was of some comfort to know this is widely experienced in this profession, but I don't see change happening anytime soon based on the slowness of changes in this profession in general.

As an audiologist with over thirty years in the field, and over 20 years as a private practice owner, this was the first time I have seen the topic of occupational stress being discussed in the context of actual research. It helped to read results that put more of a fine point on the things that audiologists find stressful, rather than just being aware that there's workplace stress based on the typical, broad complaints we all share at conferences and seminars, etc. of being "so stressed."

I enjoyed this article very much. It holds true in the practice that I work in . I am state licensed and work under an Audiologist as a tech and the both of us see patients and support each other and there is stress. It does vary from day to day but all in all I see that the recognition as compared to being an ENT doctor just is not there for either of us. We work just as hard if not harder and do not have 4 nurses helping us . We do have the insurance area covered by a team, but stress is ther

Time is the largest stressor. With many audiologists now working under corporations, this has not improved. It’s put out or get out! There is no ability for quality personal patient care. I feel this is part of the reason patients are annoyed. I feel this was not part of the survey. Patients are paying for quality time with their audiologist. They are being rushed in and out. After 35 years in the field I can sympathize.
