This program aims to build knowledge and confidence in using AB’s latest technology and resources, empowering professionals to best support AB patients following completion of learning. This course highlights how Remote Programming is being utilized for AB CI recipients, and covers how to perform objective measures like NRI in Target CI.
This course curriculum includes 5 weeks of learning via webinar with AB’s Education and Training team, and will provide a comprehensive understanding of AB CI technology and programming principles. It is recommended that you attend all events in this series.

Katie Vaden, Au.D., CCC-A, joined Advanced Bionics in 2012. Prior to joining the Education and Training team, Dr. Vaden worked as a cochlear implant audiologist with the Indiana University Medical Center CI Team. She spent 12 years at this program, and as the Clinical Team Leader, worked diligently to ensure that CI recipients and their families received the most advanced technology and expert clinical care. Dr. Vaden received degrees in audiology from the University of Tennessee and University of Florida.

Lindsay Shroyer received her doctorate in Audiology in 2012 from the University of Louisville. She completed her externship with Arizona Hearing and Balance Center, where she continues to provide patient care. She is the director of audiology for Valley ENT in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

Francis Comtois
MS
Francis Comtois graduated in 2016 from the University of Montreal to obtain a masters degree in audiology. He began practicing as a clinical audiologist between 2016 and 2018 during which he primarily worked with the pediatric clientele. He then joined the Centre Québecois d’Expertise en Implant Cochléaire team in 2018 as a programming audiologist. He has been involved in different projects including the presentation of an e-poster on the outcomes of a systematic early cochlear implant activation protocol at the CI2021. He currently pursues his practice as a cochlear implant programming audiologist and oversees a large database for future research projects.

Kristin Kozlowski

Kristin Kozlowski joined the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2011 after earning her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Kozlowski’s training and clinical interests include diagnostic audiology and implantable hearing devices. She currently works with implantable hearing devices as part of the Koss Cochlear Implant Program and is an active member of the research team.
