In this first part of a two-part series, we will briefly review telemedicine and tele-audiology basics and history. This webinar will then discuss current practice in both diagnostics and rehabilitation and case examples for how these types of services are provided in remote and isolated locations in Northwest Alaska.

Samantha Kleindienst Robler, AuD, PhD is the Director of Audiology at Norton Sound Health Corporation in remote Northwest Alaska. Her clinical and research interests include innovating and improving tools that address accessibility to hearing healthcare, including telemedicine and health technology development and application in the clinical setting, as well as addressing global hearing health, and public health policy in the hearing healthcare delivery system.
