Shohet Ear Associates is seeking a Clinical Audiologist to join our collaborative and growing team of neurotologists, otolaryngologists, and audiologists. Shohet Ear Associates, formerly William House Hearing Associates, is a growing, patient-focused private practice in Orange County, California. We provide a full range of neurotology, otolaryngology, and audiology services to both adults and children.
Our three locations—Newport Beach, Seal Beach, and Irvine (in collaboration with Hoag Hospital)—offer state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Position Overview
As a Clinical Audiologist at Shohet Ear Associates, you will work within an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive audiological assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for individuals with auditory and vestibular disorders.
We welcome candidates with a strong clinical foundation who are eager to grow and develop in a collaborative environment. Mentorship and training are provided for advanced diagnostics and specialty services
Candidate Requirement
Possession, or eligibility for, a California State Audiology License and Hearing Aid Dispensing License.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of auditory and vestibular function for adult and pediatric patients.
- Select, fit, verify, and manage hearing technologies, including daily- and extended-wear hearing aids and assistive listening devices, using Real Ear Measurement (REM) and evidence-based protocols.
- Apply evidence-based auditory rehabilitation strategies to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with neurotologists, otolaryngologists, physician assistants, and interdisciplinary colleagues to develop personalized care plans for patients with complex needs.
- Contribute to a supportive clinical environment, including opportunities to mentor and assist in the training of doctoral-level students.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Experience with middle ear implants and bone conduction hearing devices.
- Proficiency in cochlear implant evaluations, candidacy assessments, mapping procedures, and audiological rehabilitation strategies.
- Specialized expertise in the diagnosis and management of tinnitus and hyperacusis, including counseling and therapeutic interventions.
