Position Summary
The Audiologist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care through comprehensive audiological evaluations and personalized rehabilitation strategies. This role involves conducting diagnostic assessments, fitting and managing hearing devices, and educating patients and families to support hearing health and communication outcomes.
Responsibilities
The Audiologist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations using a variety of diagnostic tools including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, impedance testing, and OAEs. They will analyze complex results to identify underlying conditions and select appropriate testing procedures tailored to each patient. Based on assessment data, the Audiologist will develop and implement individualized habilitation and rehabilitation programs. This role includes fitting, adjusting, and repairing hearing aids and assistive devices, as well as maintaining accurate patient records and documenting care plans and follow-ups. The Audiologist will prepare detailed reports on diagnostic findings and patient progress, and provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding hearing loss, test results, and the use of hearing technologies. Experience or interest in adult and pediatric cochlear implants and pediatric amplification is preferred.
