A Day in the Life:
- Build rapport with patients of all ages through consultations and examinations to provide the best treatment plan for their lifestyle.
- Conduct diagnostic testing and evaluations including Audiograms and Tympanograms.
- Program and fit hearing aids while assisting with any adjustments, questions, or problems.
- Dispense appropriate hearing care products to meet their needs and provide realistic expectations to ensure patient success.
- Provide continuous care with your patients which includes regular follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from an accredited program.
- Active or eligible to obtain New York state licensure in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing.
- Strong interpersonal communication and patient counseling skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a consistent patient caseload.
- Maintain continuing education based on state regulations.
